Menstruation is a natural process for girls and women that they need to feel empowered feeling about, however, this area of health can often get glossed over. Talking about menstruation is a key part of female wellbeing, as this allows for increased learning and can help to develop healthy, body-positive attitudes to menstruation. The female body is one to be truly celebrated and appreciated for the wonders it does throughout its monthly cycles.
However, menstruation can cause many issues for women across the month particularly if they experience PMS symptoms causing a variety of tough symptoms such as fatigue, low mood, irritability and even depression. For some women, menstruation itself is the issue causing extremely painful periods which can massively impact day to day life.
